Even trying every add-on that's ever been released for the game, you're unlikely to find a use for your USB steering wheel with VirtualBus. In practice, there are so many options as to what game to play out there, on your PC or even on your phone, that playing a game like VirtualBus is hard to justify. In theory, you can't beat free, which is the game's nominal price. The controls are weak, with or without a steering wheel (but especially the latter), while it's nearly impossible to find your way around some maps, which are indistinct streets and avenues with nothing to unify them. The graphical quality varies, but most commonly, it is poor, with the game's steering wheel having precious few frames of animation to help immerse you in the game. Pedestrians are often invisible, and walls are intangible.
Unfortunately, not all is well in the world of VirtualBus. Some are real, some are fictional, and all are crafted to varying standards of quality, depending on their source. With the game's bevy of add-ons, there might be a way out there to add a storyline to your bus driving campaign, but by default, you're a bus driver who navigates from the front window, driving through city streets and following the laws en route to a number of possible destinations. So we are going to rate it a solid 8/10 for the realistic gameplay and ease of control. However, there is a lack of variety in the game for which we are going to take away 2 points. VirtualBus is a bus driving simulator with many add-ons available. OMSI: The Bus Simulator offers a great bus driving experience and makes the players feel like they are actually driving a bus.
